Synopsis

Alpha Flight responds to an inquisition from the Canadian government in their responsibility to Canada. They debate their role and how the government wants to both fund and control Alpha Flight. Vindicator feels that they can function without the control and still continue to defend Canada. Calling the government's bluff, Vindicator eschews the government funding and decides that Alpha Flight will continue to defend Canada on their own terms. Meanwhile, Sasquatch learns that his wealth is in the control of his ex-wife since everyone believes Walter Langkowski has died.
